Hegra · Saudi Arabia

Carved from
a single rock.

A reminder to explore, with ideas to get you started.

That doorway belongs to one of Hegra’s more than 110 ancient tombs, carved into sandstone around 2,000 years ago. Look up at the detail, then step back to take in the whole rock. This is the place on your card, on a rather different scale.

Beyond Hegra · AlUla

An elephant.
Made of sandstone.

At Elephant Rock, a huge sandstone trunk reaches towards the desert floor. Settle in nearby as the light softens and the rock changes colour. Nature has been busy here too.

Something to taste

Dates, coffee.
Take your time.

Make room for a taste of the AlUla oasis: locally grown dates alongside Saudi coffee. After looking up at all that stone, a small cup and something sweet make a good change of pace.
